Eclipse Community ForumsPermanent/Archive links for recent Orbit releases?
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/488513/1062253/#msg_1062253
I reference an Orbit p2 repository in the Maven Tycho automated build
script for my project. That Orbit p2 repository no longer exists though
( http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/drops/S20130308121626/repository/
) and as such the build is broken. I didn't realize this link was not
permanent. I tried looking into the Orbit archived builds but they only
have releases as far as 2011 which is not suitable.
Could we have permanent/archive links for recent Orbit releases then? Or
is this available somewhere else that I have missed?

Thanks, that's exactly the info I was looking for.
Using an R-build should keep the build scripts correct for at least 2 years then, that's good.
Although I would argue that for super-duper correctness the R-builds should have archive links as soon as possible, such that the build-scripts/target-definitions using the latest R-builds would be correct indefinitely.]]>Bruno Medeiros2013-08-16T19:07:19-00:00Re: Permanent/Archive links for recent Orbit releases?

I've added this suggestion to bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=416485
We have done that on other projects, after learning the lesson from
Apache Tomcat :)]]>David Williams2013-09-24T07:00:43-00:00
