It seems to be an error in generation of messages_xx-XX.properties file.
I'm using Pulsar for Mobile Java Developers. Build id: 20090619-0625
I added localization support to my project using the Mobile tools for java
> Enable Localization. I added two locales en-US and ru-RU and some
properties, and set ru-RU by default.
When I try to create package using the Application Descriptor > Create
package,
the tool creates the messages_ru-RU.properties file in default encoding,
for me it is Cp1251.
It seems to be wrong because the generated class L10nResources then reads
this using default encoding. At least I can say that it doesn't work at my
Nokia.
For Motorolla it seems to be OK.
Does anybody know a solution of this problem?]]>2009-08-02T06:19:05-00:00Re: Wrong encoding of messages_xx-XX.properties

When you open the messages_xx-XX.properties file generated inside your
project with a text editor does it read it correctly ??

Hello David,
When I open the messages_ru-RU.properties in eclipse's editor, it shows it
using the european encoding. If I'm not mistaken, it is ISO-8859-1. So I
can't see correct russian text. Actually, messages_ru-RU.properties has
Cp1251 encoding.
As for messages_en-US.properties, all is OK :).
Regards,
Sergey
