Eclipse Community ForumsProblems with Execution flow - does not show anything

Hi there,
I am trying to use the tptp 4.0.0 plugin in eclipse 3.1.0. I am
profiling a JBOSS 4.0.2 AS by attaching to it. There is no problem
attaching to the AS.
After profiling I can open the Execution Statistics with no problem and
the same goes for the UML2 diagrams. But when I open the execution flow
view I cannot se any flow diagram. The view opens fine but there are no
bars showing.
The funny thing is that below the execution flow windows it shows the
threads and the method invocations made by each thread. The start times
show in this list are negative (ie -4.828,752796) but the execution
flows y-axis starts with 0,0000005 seconds. I cannot find any way of
showing negative times on the execution flow.
I am suspecting that the problem is caused by the negative start times
and I am wondering if there is an easy solution to this??
Thanks in advance

I wasn't able to reproduce this problem using the 4.0.1 driver. If it is
possible, can you profile your application to a file and attach it to this
report?
You can profile an application to a file by following the steps below:
Select the profile launch configuration item > Click on the 'Profile' tab >
Click on the 'Destination' tab > Check 'Send profiling data to file' >
Specify a path to a file name > Click on profile.
Instead of the views getting populated, the data will be directed to the
file specified.

I have tried to save the profile file as you mentioned above - the funny
thing is, that the file does not contain the negative start times
because when I import it it shows the correct Execution Flow. I have
done this several times and it is consistent - always showing the
correct Execution Flow. But each time I do an "online" profiling I get
the negative start times.
I have attached a screen shot showing an "online" profiling and a
profile file. Unfortunately I cannot attach them to this post because of
a limit - but you can download them here http://www.tiede.dk/files.
Unfortunately it is not possible to do an "online" profile together with
storing the results as a file, sp I cannot see what happens if both are
done at the same time.
Cheers

The fact that the time-stamps are correct in the file implies that the JVMPI
agent is in fact sending the correct data. It's likely the loaders that are
getting confused and incorrectly calculating the start times.
I would give this a try with a development build of 4.1
(TPTP-4.1.0-200511170100). If the problem is still reproducible, then
please open a defect with a description of your problem.
