Note that the
decompression utility that is built into Windows XP™ and Windows
Vista™, does not always work successfully with the long file names
contained in Eclipse ZIP files. This problem may manifest as an error or
with Windows™ asking you for a password. Eclipse ZIP files are
not password protected.
If you do encounter problems decompressing Eclipse on Windows, consider either decompressing the file into the root directory (thereby shorting the path for file names), or use a more robust decompression utility such as 7-Zip.
