Polarsys, a New Open-Source Industry Collaboration
A new open source industry collaboration, called Polarsys, is being created at the Eclipse Foundation to focus on building and maintaining
tools for safety critical and embedded system development. The goal of Polarsys is to build and maintain an open source tools chain that is used by organizations building safety-critical and software
intensive embedded systems.

M2M Industry Working Group
Sierra Wireless and the Eclipse Foundation have announced the formation of a new Industry Working
Group to define and implement an open standards platform for the software development tools used in developing
machine-to-machine (M2M) communications applications.IBM and Eurotech are also founding members. The M2M Working Group is
open to any organization with an interest in M2M solutions, including vendors and clients.

Eclipse Training Series
|
The Eclipse Foundation, in partnership with Eclipse member companies, is offering a series of
fall training classes. The virtual and onsite instructor-led, hands-on classes started on October 17 and continue until November 25,
and feature technologies such as Eclipse RCP, Equinox, BIRT, and modeling. Check the
