    Metaverse 2008, a European Virtual Worlds Conference and Expo, features more than 50 presentations by well-known experts on tracks ranging from Business, Technology and Community. Metaverse 08 is run by Software & Support Media, a leading conference provider, and Bokowsky + Laymann, an established German Second Life Agency.

    The Business Track targets a marketing decision maker who plans to get involved in Second Life or increase their commitment. Along with case studies of successful international projects, these presentations will also shed light on how to adopt Second Life for marketing and communications.

    The Technology Track is designed for programmers, designers and content creators and includes a whole range of the Ingame scope of design. The sessions provide first-hand know-how for professionals, as well as the basics for the beginner.

    The Community Track is a forum for non-commercial users on a low-cost basis. The Metaverse 08 offers an extensively interesting and comprehensive program for all Second Life user groups.

    Besides a comprehensive evening program that will form a bridge between Real Life and Second Life, the Conference will be accompanied by an exhibition where companies, which are active in Second Life, will present their projects.

    The Eclipse Code Camp in Stuttgart is a brand-new meeting, organized by the Entwickler Akademie in co-operation with the Eclipse Training Alliance. Four intensive workshops will run in two parallel tracks daily from 9:00 to 18:30. All coaches are well-known experts in the Eclipse world and have gained extraordinary experience in large projects.

    The focus of the workshops will be on the practical use of all technologies and you can move freely between the individual workshops. There are also several evening events from Monday to Wednesday, where you can get to know the coaches and other participants in a relaxed setting.

    Eclipse and OMG are jointly organising this symposium to promote and build on the partnership between Eclipse's open source software and OMG's open standards. The symposium will be organised as a series of discussion sessions on corresponding OMG standards and Eclipse projects. The purpose will be to discuss the alignment between current standard and implemented software, and identify areas where the cooperation could be further improved in future.
