Eclipse Babel Project Development Meeting: 3/10/08

- Server-side Translation Project Update (Babel Translations Server) –Gabe
- Closing bugs that Kit filed
- Just a few more issues – Gabe will build a server tool for bug posting (screen shots)
- Import for 3.2 translations are on the server
- Minor bugs on the translation server
- Kit Submitted presentations on time and will be on conference memory stick to make changes
- Working Session
- We will meet at the hotel bar at 5pm on Monday to get acquainted with one another and will decide on meeting for a longer Working session that week
- Cancel next week’s call (3/17/08)
- We need to have a release plan:
- Need to find out how the translations got imported
- Do we attach the translations to a bug or do we import them?
- Might need to get an IP clearance (to have legal stuff covered)
- This should be done before
- We need to check the 3.2 translations that IBM donated
- Gabe will check if Bjorn can attend our working session next week
- Need to talk to Bjorn about this during our working session
- Gabe will talk to him to see when he’d like to discuss this topic
- Our project will have issues because we’re dealing w/ translations
- Marge from Adobe – Welcome
- Can each individual company still copyright their strings (code contributions model)
- Timeframe on Milestone 1 – goal is to get most of things cleaned up by EclipseCon
- Will the translation server process get changed?
