Xtext comes with two different parser implementations. One is self-written and therefore automatically Eclipse IP approved. The other
is based on Antlr.
The Antlr parser is far better in terms of error recovery, which is an important
feature when used within a text editor. Unfortunately Antlr's generator is not Eclipse IP approved and can therefore not be provided as a download
from eclipse.org. To get the best out of Xtext it is recommended to use the Antlr-based parser.
